In Lahore a father of 4 was working as a rickshaw driver when some local boys started to mis-behave with a female passenger.The rickshaw driver tried to stop the assault and in return the boys threw acid on the rickshaw driver's face. The result of the damage caused heavy scarring on his face and loss of both eyes. After his hospitalization, he had to sell his rickshaw to pay for medical bills and was unable to work to provide for his family.

When Taqwa welfare organization heard about this case, we went to go visit the driver and discussed his situation and what would be the ideal way to help support him and his family.Taqwa welfare organization then arranged for a new rickshaw to be purchased and then leased to a local man in need to work and provide for his family too.We arranged to rent out the rickshaw to the new able driver and pay rent to the blind rickshaw driver to help support his family and at the same time provided a helping support to the other family whose father was also out of work.
